Moving data already containing links

At the moment i have a work sheet with input data at the top and all the other information underneath and as i change the input data the other data changes as appropriate. I would now like to move the input data to a different worksheet but i want the links to stay so if i change the input data my other data (on a different sheet now) still changes. how would i go about this?

thanks

RE: moving data already containing links

Hi Reyno

Thanks for your question.

You should be able to just cut and paste the input data into another sheet, and the formulas should update themselves so that they refer to the same input data.

Try it out with a small amount of data first before trying it with the worksheet you refer to in your post.

Please put another post onto our website if you find that you do have problems with moving your data.

thanks
Amanda

Excel tip:

Adding Rows or Columns in an Excel 2010 Worksheet

If you want to add a row to an Excel spreadsheet, these are the simple steps you should take:

With your mouse, right click on the row header below where you want the new row to be added. Then, click Insert.

Follow exactly the same steps if you want to add a column to an Excel worksheet, right click on the column header, choose Insert and the new column will be inserted to the left of the selected column.
