Linking tasks

Please may I have an example of a Start to Finish task

RE: Linking tasks

Hi Teresa sure,

Take two tasks:

study for exam
sit exam

of the two "sit exam" is the Predecessor - even though it might be in the future, it is determining when we must study.
With that in mind we can double click on "Study for Exam" choose "Sit Exam" as the predecessor.

It is the Start of the exam that tells us when we must Finish studying (otherwise we won't be ready to take the test). So
"Study exam" is linked Start to Finish (SF) to its predecessor "Sit Exam"

Hope this helps. We'll be looking at this topic in tomorrow's training day.

If you have any other questions please let us know.
Kind regards, Andrew
