How can I get autonumbers to be more than one digit long at the start eg 00001 not just 1?
Hi Alison, thanks for your query. Select the autonumber field in design view and go down to the "Field Properties" panel. In the General tab click into Format and simply put "00000". Save the table and switch back to Datasheet view. Your first autonumber should now read "00001" and so on.
Hope this helps,
Anthony

Access tip:Run with the totalOften when creating reports with lists of transactions it can be useful to have a column which totals the transactions as the report progresses. |
