Mail Merge

I have a set of documents which have been mail merged from queries in a my database. When I open these .dot documents manually with the database open, they load up and link automatically to the query I have set them up with. I have created a button to open these word documents straight from the access database, but unfortunately the link between the word document and the database is lost so it only shows the first page of the first record and I have to re-link the word document to the database. Is there a way around this?

RE: Mail Merge

Hello Jonathan

Thanks for your post outlining what you are trying to do.

We are confident we can reach a solution for you but it is something that is beyond the bounds of the support forum.

The next stage will be to review all your associated files to create a scope of work with duration (currently we estimate half a day with some VBA code) and associated costs (trainer time will need to be allocated).

If you are interested in taking this further please reply to my email.

Kind regards

Jacob

Access tip:

Dsum

You can create percentage values based on individual products / items by using a Dsum function (used with a grouped query)

[Each value column] / Dsum[field:total for the column needed to be calculated],[tablename]
