How do i record a macro?

RE: Macros

Hi Bhavesh,

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

To record a macro go to Tools, Macro and then Record a new macro.

Name the macro remembering not to use spaces(underscore between words is fine or no space) and then choose the location to save the macro.

Then click OK and then go through the procedure you want recorded. Then use the Stop recording button on the Stop recording toolbar.

I hope this answers your question.

Regards

Simon

Excel tip:

Keyboard Shortcuts to Add Rows or Columns

Couple of other keyboard shortcuts. Shift+spacebar selects a row, Ctrl+spacebar selects a column. Select either row or column (or several) and use Ctrl and + to insert or Ctrl and - to delete rows or columns.
