Hi Danielle
A function is a pre-defined formula that performs a particular type of calculation.
You must provide the function with the values to calculate.
A function has the following structure
=FunctionName (Argument1, Argument2,...)
SUM, AVERAGE and COUNT are some examples of functions in Excel
