FORMATTING

What is the best way of formatting gantt charts so that they look appealing and also make it easy to pull out the information required. Those I have seen previously are too detailed, it is difficult to match the bars to the tasks and the rows are far too narrow.

RE: FORMATTING

Rebecca

Thank you for your question. RIGHTCLICK on the bar you wish to change and select FORMAT, select the colour and shape you wish to implement.

RIGHT CLICKOn the blank area of the GANNT Chart, select gridlines, and choose the type and/or colour you want.

Hope this helps

David

MS Project tip:

Typing Links Between Tasks

In the Entry table, use the Precessors column to type in links. Type the previous task's ID to link. To change the link, add FS (Finish-Start), FF (Finish-Finish), and so on, and + duration to add a Lag, or - duration for a Lead time. Example: for task 5, 4FS+1w ... task 4 preceeds task 5, finish to start, with a week lag between.
