Customise how your Powerpoint presentations are saved

There is an option to customise your Save settings in PowerPoint, so that it will automatically save your presentation.  This is a great security net, saving you from the “oh no” moments when you close a document without saving.  And, it’s easy to do.

From the Backstage view, select the Options icon.

The options button is small, but oh, so important…

Select the Options button, and a menu comes up for you to then select Save.

From the Save options, you can customise your autosave – protecting your work…phew.

Now you can tick the autosave options, set the Autorecover to save every 10 minutes (or fewer if you want)…and “Keep the last autosaved version” option, which give that extra back up.

In a couple of minutes, you have managed to protect your hard work with Powerpoint remembering to save the presentation if you forget.

This skill is part of Powerpoint 2007 training and applies to other versions of Powerpoint.  To explore the skills you can gain in just one day…take a look at our Powerpoint courses https://www.stl-training.co.uk/powerpoint-2007-introduction.php

I love what I do; I get to work with an outstanding team to help hundreds of people with their challenges. I’ve learnt a lot from the teams I’ve worked with, no matter the size or industry we all have challenges to overcome, difficult customers, creating a budget or keeping a project on track.
