Hi Ian,

You can find out how to use specifc FORMULAs by using the F1 help button.

All function starts with = symbol, follow by the name & cell ranges.

e.g. =SUM(B2:B6,C9)

This is an example of using the AutoSum function, adding numbers from cells B2 to B6 and C9.

Excel tip:

Display Functions on Worksheets

Functions in Excel can be difficult to recall their format/syntax

For example, you want to use the =PMT function.

Enter =PMT, then select keystroke, CTRL+SHIFT+A.

This usful memory jog, will display the arguments of a function on a worksheet, allowing the user to proceed with the generation of the function
