Clipart keeps moving around in my word document

Hi,

Every time I insert a piece of Clipart into my Word document, I either delete it, because I have deleted a paragraph or when I move it, it rarely appears exactly where I want it. Can you help me please?

RE: Clipart keeps moving around in my word document

Yes I can.

When you insert Clipart (graphic) into your document you will find that the clipart anchors itself to a paragraph.

When you delete the paragraph the graphic will also be deleted. When you move the paragraph the graphic will also be moved.

To view how a graphic is anchored with a paragraph:

1) Click on graphic and turn on Show/Hide on Standard Toolbar.

2) Right click on graphic, select Format Picture, select Layout tab and choose a Wrapping style.

3) Click OK

4) Whilst clicked on the graphic you will now see the anchor in the left hand margin.

5) As you drag your graphic down the page the anchor will move down, as you move the graphic up the page the anchor will move up.

6) Keep dragging your graphic whilst watching the anchor to the position required in your document, then release mouse.

Word tip:

Shortcut keys to show non-printing characters

The Show/Hide button can be used in Word to show non-printing characters in your document.

The shortcut keys for revealing non-printing characters are Ctrl + Shift + the 8/* button above the alpha keys on the keyboard.

Holding down the same combination of keys hides non-printing characters again.
