Hi, I have a problem with MS Word. Every time i highlight a sentance and type a letter to replace this sentance, the letter simply appears to the left of the sentance and has not deleted what i wanted it to. For example i want to replace the sentance 'i am sam' to 'nobody liked bill' i would end up with nobody liked billi am sam. Now i know i can just press the delete button every time, but its become such a reflex that i forget and its really annoying!
I'm sure its a really simple setting! Can someone help!?!?!
Hi Howard, Thanks for the post, to sort out your problem, go to Menu Command; Tools, Select Options, in the Options dialog box choose the Edit Tab and ensure that the Tic box Typing replaces selection is ticked. Hope that sorts it.
