Templates
Please could you tell me how templates can be used. I have set one up but when I delete the existing data in it an drop in new data (from another document), it is not formatted in the same way as the original template data was.
Please can you explain exactly what templates offer?
Thanks!
Alexia
RE: Templates
Templates keeps its format only if you TYPE in the text. If you copied the text from elsewhere, it's safer to PASTE SPECIAL & choose paste with UNFORMATTED TEXT.
See if that helps.

RE: Templates
Thanks for that. My paste doesn't seem to have a paste special - where do I find that option.

RE: Templates
Alexia,
You'll need to go to the Edit menu, and choose PASTE SPECIAL which is usually right underneath PASTE.
If the PASTE SPECIAL is greyed out and unclickable, it's most likely you don't have anything in the clipboard (ie. you haven't copied anything yet), or the contents of the clipboard are not suitable for the PASTE SPECIAL feature.
Let us know if you can't find it.
Regards, Rich
