Is it possible to create a setting in an excel file (a scoring submission form) that will force the person opening and completing it to fill out one or more given cells, or better still the file name, in order to indicate who had amended the form and when?
(Like many web-based forms)

You could se the file to Read-only, which would mean the person saving the file would need to specify a different file name. You could specifiy the format:
ie:
ScoreSubmissionForm-YYYY_MM_DD-YourName.xls
To make the file read-only, simply right click on the file in windows explorer, choose properties, and then tick the ReadOnly box.

Excel tip:Multiple Lines of Text in a CellAs an alternative to the Text Wrapping facility, type a word or two, press Alt+Enter to get a new line, type more text, and continue the process for as many lines as you need. Enter as normal when you have finished. |
