how excel can work for workflow administration
RE: workflow
Hi Jeanie
Thank you for your question and apologies for the delay in responding. My experience of workflow is quite limited so one of my colleagues may be able to offer more advice on this.
However, I can advise that according to the MS website:
"SharePoint Server 2010 provides two predefined Microsoft Excel reports that provide aggregate analysis of workflow history for each workflow instance: the Activity Duration Report and the Cancellation and Error Report.
The Activity Duration Report provides data about how long each activity within a workflow takes to complete as well as how long it takes for all tasks in the workflow to complete. The Cancellation and Error Report shows the workflows that have been cancelled or encountered errors before completion. Each of these reports is provided as a Microsoft Excel formatted file."

I'm not sure if this entirely answers your question. If not, please provide a little bit more detail regarding what it is you are trying to achieve.
Kind regards
David Wills
