Vlookup formula is defeating me .I'm trying to apply it to 2 seperate documents but keep getting NA or value# given back to me me.Can anyone explain in simple steps how to write it?
Hello Marjorie,
Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Excel Intermediate course with Best STL.
Thank you for your question regarding how a VLOOKUP function is used in a formula.
The main reason you are getting errors when using a VLOOKUP formula is usually because your data has errors in it or the lookup value cannot be found in the lookup table.
Why don't you send me a copy of your spreadsheet with some of your data containing the errors and I will find the problem, fix it for you, and explain exactly why it went wrong.
You can send it to: - rl@stl-training.co.uk
I have attached an Excel file with information on VLOOKUPs which you may find useful.
I await your reply,
Have a great day.
Regards,
Rodney
