RE: more info on macro
Hello Vickie,
Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Word Advanced course with Best STL.
Thank you for your question regarding more info on macros.
A macro is a task automation tool that executes a set of commands to automate frequently repeated steps. Each macro is uniquely identified by a macro name. You can use the macro recorder to record a sequence of actions, and then perform these tasks by using the macro name or a simple command assigned to the macro. The set of commands in the recorded macro is converted into programming code that can be edited if required. A macro can be stored in documents or templates.
When saving a Word file containing a macro make sure that you save the file as a macro enabled document. The file extension will be .docm.
