How do you drag an image into MS Project 2003?
RE: Pictures
Hello Rosie,
Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Project Introduction course with Best STL.
Thank you for your question regarding dragging images into MS Project. All images are displayed in the Gantt chart area. You can drag an image onto a Gantt chart as long as you can see both image and Gantt chart side by side on your screen.
After you have dragged the image onto the Gantt chart it is displayed as an icon which when double clicked will open the image in a program such as MS Paint or Photoshop. I doubt if this is what you want to see, however, so here is a different way to achieve better results, although it is a bit long winded.
Open a new Word document and from the Insert menu, insert a picture from a file and make sure you resize it in Word as this can't be done in Project. Save the Word file then open MS Project. From the Insert menu select the Object item then check the radio button on the left Create from File' click Browse and locate the Word document you just saved. Double click the file and select the Link check box if you need to edit the picture then click OK.
This will place the image into the Gantt chart in the top corner. You can move the image to a different spot by dragging it. If you right-click the image and go to its properties you can also attach it to a task.
I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.
If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?
Have a great day.
Regards,
Rodney

MS Project tip:Compare Work and DurationDuration is the timescale within which a task is done; Work is the specific time element used. For example, 3 days work in a duration of 2 weeks. To compare, add the Work field into the Entry table by right clicking a column heading to Add Field. |
