From within your word document:

1. Click the "Insert Tab" on the ribbon
2. Select the "Page Number" button
3. Choose from the available page number location formats
4. After you select the format, the header and footer section opens
5. The "Design" tab will be open so you can choose from options such as "Different Odd & Even Pages"
6. To see what the overall affect will look like, click the large round "Office" button, then hover over "Print", then select "Print Preview" from the menu options
7. Select Close Print Preview to return to the normal design window
