I can't find where I change the user id so that a comment is attributable to me instead of MSOffice. Please adise, many thanks in anticipation.

RE: user id for comments

Hi Elsa,

Thank you for your question regarding default user names within a comment.

To set your name up as the default:

- Click the 'Office Button' (round button - top left hand corner)
- At the bottom of the menu, on the right hand side you should be able to see a button named 'Word Options' - select this button.
- This will open a dialogue box, towards the bottom is a section titled 'Personalise your copy of MS Office.' Type your name into the text box alongside 'User name' - click OK

Now, whenever you insert any comment your name should appear within as the default.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post.

Kind Regards,

Move Toolbar buttons

In both Word and Excel you can Move Toolbar buttons to a different position or even delete them from the toolbar by pressing the ALT key and then dragging them to a new position, Note: dragging them off the toolbars completely will delete them.
