Styles
Every now and then in a document that has a style implemented into it, a large space appears between different paragraphs and I can't remove the space without deleting the text. Sometimes I can resolve it by cutting and pasting the text back but I'm hoping there is a better solution.
Thanks
RE: styles
Hi Shelley
Thank you for your question. One way to trouble shoot this is to turn on the "show/hide" codes button. It's the one that looks like a reversed letter P. You will find it on the home ribbon, in the paragraph group, top row, last icon.
Turning this on will show where the paragraph formatting finishes and the next style begins. In fact this P character contains the formatting for the whole paragraph. If it gets deleted then the text in the paragraph will lose it's styled formatting.
With this marker turned on it should be easier to remove the space you don't need but at the same time preserve the styled text.
Does this help resolve the problem? Let me know if we can be of further help.
Kind regards,
Andrew
