Excel versions

do the same commands in excel 2003 work in 2007 (e.g. setting up a pivot table) or is re-training required for 2007?

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

The functionality of Excel is the same across both versions, the main difference is how the interface looks. So re-training is not necessarily required, it just might take a while to find the features in 2007 that you are used to using in 2003.

You will be able to download the reference material for Excel Advanced for the 2007 version through your delegate account.

Excel tip:

Copying Formulae Quickly

There is a quicker way of copying a formula down a column.

Just point and double click on the black autofill handle in the right hand corner of a cell.

This will work providing you have some data in the column to the left of the column.
