Tables

how do I make the lines in a table not show on the document?

RE: Tables

Hi Sneha

Thanks for your question.

If you are referring to the borders (usually coloured black) around the table, then you can select the whole table and select the No Borders option from the Borders button on the Formatting toolbar.

If you are referring to the table gridlines (which will appear in grey on your screen), then you can click in the table then go to Table-Hide Gridlines.
Gridlines are placed on the screen for your benefit, so you can see where the edges of table cells are when the borders are removed. They will not print, even if you can see them on your screen.

thanks
Amanda

Word tip:

Save Multiple Documents

If you have two or more documents open at a time but you don't want to go through the rigmarole of saving them one at a time then you can close or save them all in one go.

Hold down the Shift key and go to the File menu

Two new commands, Save All and Close All appear

One click and all of your open documents will be saved or closed.
