Word - working with graphics

Hi

How do I compress graphics (e.g. pictures) for ease of storage and to enable sending via e-mail?

RE: Word - working with graphics

Hello Gail

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum. Sorry for the delay in response due to our closure over the Christmas/New Year break.

If you select the picture/s you would like to compress within your Word document, then click the Format tab under Picture Tools.

Within the Adjustment group there is a Compress Pictures button. This feature reduces the file size of the image (not the actual size of the image in the document) so that when you save the file, it will be as compact as possible.

When Word displays the Compress Pictures dialog box, you will have options to compress all images in the document or to compress only the selected images.

If you want access to further options, click the Options button within the Compress Pictures dialog box to change additional choices for compression.

Then click OK to apply changes. I hope this helps.

Kind regards
Amanda
