Creating own Bold Style
I have created my own style called Bold, which does as it says, for our protected letter template. However, when you want to apply this style to selected words in amongst a sentance, it doesnt want to and will only bolden the whole sentance. Please could you help?
RE: Creating own Bold Style
Hi Katie,
This can be annoying, I have come across it previously and it seems to be a 'sometimes happens' type of problem, to sort it; I have press the UNDO arrow on the Standard toolbar, once, which seems to clear the entire sentence from being bold and leaves the selected word bold. I know its annoying but I havent been able to sort it any other way. Let me know if it works... Pete
RE: Creating own Bold Style
Hi Pete
I have resolved this problem since I posted my query.
To resolve: When creating the style (Fromat, Styles and formatting, new style) there is an option called 'Style Type'. I previously had my own bold style set to 'paragraph', meaning that when I applied this style, it would only apply to paragraphs. There is another option under 'style type' called 'character', which applies the syle to as it says, character. This works

Well Done I'll keep that one in the bottom drawer in case it pops up again ... Pete
