How do you insert a line in a spreadsheet

RE: spreadsheet- Inserting row and columns

Dear Janet

Thank you for attending Excel Introduction!! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.

I believe by line you mean Row or column.

Please remember that when you are inserting a row or a column the new row gets inserted above the row that you select and the new column gets inserted to the left of the column that you select.

You simply select the column and right-click and choose the insert option. Please remember that the new column will be inserted to the left hand side.

For inserting the Row you simply select the row and right-click and choose insert. Again please remember that the new row will be inserted above the selected row.

A quick tip: If you want to insert multiple columns or rows you can select that many rows or columns and then right-click anywhere on the selection and choose insert. Please remember that the new rows or columns will be inserted to the left or above as mentioned above.

The short cut keys for inserting rows or columns is CTRL+ SHIFT + =

To Delete it is CTRL + -

I hope this has answered your query.

If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to provide you the solution for it!!

Kindest Regards
