Conditionally Formatting Linked Cells

Is there a way to use conditional formatting on cells that contain links?

For example:

1. Cell with links to other sheets - fill blue.
2. Cell with link to other cells on sheet - fill green.

RE: Conditionally Formatting Linked Cells

Hi Micheal

Thank you for the question.

Unfortunately I cannot find a method of creating a rule to examine what a formula contains. Excel 2007 has added lots of features to conditional formatting but it has not included that one.

I would reaqlly like someone to prove me wrong as I can see lots of uses for it.

Regards

Laura GB

Excel tip:

Changing the Tab Colour of an Excel 2010 Worksheet

Did you know you could give the tabs in your worksheet different colours?

This is particularly useful when organizing all your worksheets relating to a particular period or year, for example.

Right click a tab
Select Tab Colour
And choose your favourite colour!
