Dreamweaver

What is the quickest and easiest way of publishing a website once it has been designed on Dreamwaver?

RE: Dreamweaver

Hello Nicolas

Hope you enjoyed your DreamWeaver training with BEST STL yesterday.

Thank you for your question regarding uploading websites designed in DreamWeaver.

You can use DreamWeaver to upload the site directly onto your webspace, using FTP. You will need to have your FTP address, username and password for this to occur.

Using the SITE menu, setup a REMOTE VIEW on your website, using the FTP option.
Once you have done so, you will be able to see both LOCAL and REMOTE files on the FILES panel of DreamWeaver.

Use the PUT (up) and GET (down) arrows to uploan and download files as required.

Hope that answers your question.

Regards

Richard

Dreamweaver tip:

Testing a site

When developing a site, you have to cater to the widest possible audience allowing for users with different browsers and display settings.
Test pages to see how they look with:

- different display resolutions
- browser with graphics turned off
- many different browsers not just IE
- if possible different operating systems.
