Limited access to database

Create a full page form for users which fills complete page and does not allow access to tables, queries etc

RE: Limited access to database

Hello Jan,

If you go to Tools, Start-Up, you will see options including unchecking Display Database Window and also unchecking the menus (so that they cannot go via different routes to queries etc). Just make sure you have your own same copy or two which does have access to these first otherwise you might lock yourself out. This will mean they will only see the forms you allow commencing with the form you select to open with in the Start-up option and buttons to any others from that form. If the form doesn't open to fill the window they can maximise it, but I think there is a way to ensure it opens maximised. In any case in doing the above the database window will not be present in the background.

Regards, Mark

Access tip:

Prefixed Autonumbering

When using Date Type = Autonumber as a primary key, clients may require autonumbering to be prefixed with a letter.

For example, P001, where P is the prefixed letter

Instructions
Step 1. Create Field Name
Step 2. Set Data Type to Autonumber
Step 3. Within Field Property General tabsheet,
enter Format property as [backslash]P000
