How can we customise autocorrect to help staff share the same conventions for company abbreviations etc.?

RE: preferred phrases

Hi Liz

Thank you for your question. Could you possibly give me some examples of abbreviations you commonly use; and what you would like autocorrect to change them to?

Thank you
Amanda

RE: preferred phrases

Company name is Allies and Morrison.

Some people abbreviate it to AAM, some to A&M, some to A+M

We would like the system to (say) automatically correct AAMs and A&Ms to A+M.

See?

RE: preferred phrases

Hi Liz

You can set this up in AutoCorrect.

You would need to go to Tools > AutoCorrect options.

Enter AAM into the Replace box and type A+M into the With box, then click Add. Repeat for the other possible abbreviations people tend to use.

This way if someone types in say, AAM and presses the spacebar, it will be changed to A+M instead.

I hope this helps.
Amanda
