can i link project to word

RE: Project 2007

Hi Pat

Thank you for your question

A quick and easy way to link project to work is by using paste special.

If you select the project table that you wish to link, select the whole table and click on edit-copy

Then Open your word document

(Assuming you are using Word 2007)

1.Click on the paste drop down on the home ribbon and click paste special
3.Select paste link
4.Select Microsoft Project Object
5.Click OK

The table will now appear in the word document, and is linked so that changes in the project file will be reflected in the word document.

Hope this helps. If you have something more specific in mind, please do not hesitate to get back to me

Regards

Stephen

MS Project tip:

Compare Work and Duration

Duration is the timescale within which a task is done; Work is the specific time element used. For example, 3 days work in a duration of 2 weeks. To compare, add the Work field into the Entry table by right clicking a column heading to Add Field.
