template i created is editable - how do i protect it so that noone can edit it?
Hi Paul, Thank you for your post, welcome to the forum, in answer to your question, there will obviously be areas in your Worksheet/Template that you require users to complete; select these areas and go to the Menu command, Format>Cells and select the Protection tab, De-select the Locked tick box and click OK. You must now go to the Menu command Tool>Protection and choose the option Protect Sheet if you wish to apply a password at this point you can, save your Worksheet as a Template and you will notice that any attempt to change/edit/add entries will result in a warning message, however the cells which you unprotected are available for edit, I hope that has helped, best regards Pete.
