Financial funtions

To answer your question, there are hundreds of functions in Excel. Depending on the type of work that you do, you may use some quite often, and others not at all. However, Microsoft has excellent Help files for all the Excel functions, including financial functions. If you are already familiar with financial calculations and terminology, the functions in Excel should be relatively easy to understand.
