Numbering and bullet points in word
how can i customise main and subtitled bullet points and make it copy down automatically through the entire document
RE: numbering and bullet points in word
Hi Karen,
Yes, there is a way to do this. These instructions are for Word 2003.
To customise your first set of bullet points, right click next to the first bullet point, and choose Bullets and Numbering...
Now double click the new style, or click the 'customise' button for even more styles, including symbols and your own pictures.
Now, to apply this new style throughout your document, go to Format -> Styles and Formatting. The Task Pane on the right should show the Styles and Formatting options and styles.
Hover over the style that your remaining bullet points use (eg. 'bulleted') and click the drop-down arrow on the right and choose 'select all X instances' (where X is the number of instances that actually exists in your document). Then click once on your new style that you want to apply. The document should update all your remaining dot points to the same new style.
I hope this helps.
Kind regards, Rich
