Is it possible to run an advanced filer on a database that already has a customized filter applied?
RE: Filtering
Hello Matt,
I hope you enjoyed your Excel training sessions with us.
To answer your question, while it is possible to run an advanced filter where a custom filter has been applied, I would recommend that you actually run the advanced filter on the full database with all filters cleared. It is easy enough to clear your custom filters, by going to Data > Filter > Clear All, and then your advanced filter can incorporate the custom filter criteria, if you so choose.
I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved. If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. And please feel free to ask any other questions you may have.
Have a great day.
Regards,
Mara

Excel tip:COUNT function vs COUNTA functionThe COUNTA function works in the same way as the COUNT function, except that it will count cells that contain text (labels) and also cells that contain numbers (values). The COUNT function will only count cells that contain numbers. Blank cells are not counted by either the COUNT or the COUNTA function. |
